In this essay the author tries to demonstrate the centrality of formation as political act. The man is a zoòn politicòn as Aristotle asserts in his Politics. Formation is a complex act between intentionality and the event, and depends on numerous processes. In particular, the importance lies in the event because it can change the individual ‘s life immediately. Formation is a political act of the individual, who must continuosly adapt himself to the environment, as Dewey asserted in the Reflex Arc Concept in Psychology of 1896. In this perspective, the author asserts that formation as political act is fundamental to build democracy.

Abstract

In this essay the author tries to demonstrate the centrality of formation as political act. The man is a zoòn politicòn as Aristotle asserts in his Politics. Formation is a complex act between intentionality and the event, and depends on numerous processes. In particular, the importance lies in the event because it can change the individual ‘s life immediately. Formation is a political act of the individual, who must continuosly adapt himself to the environment, as Dewey asserted in the Reflex Arc Concept in Psychology of 1896. In this perspective, the author asserts that formation as political act is fundamental to build democracy.
