Abstract
History is, in its complexity, not only an example of man’s complexity and of his typical polyformity; it also urges to take care of the individual’s education. The importance of shaping a person by increasing his value and turning him into a free and autonomous individual has been expressed at its most during the XX century. In these pages, the author shows how the individual is still waiting to be acknowledged as the main role in the formation of society. A society that claims to be democratic and promotes culture, but that is probably still an ethical corollary of the writings passed on to us by the history of philosophy (from Plato to John Dewey and to our days).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
