Corporate investment is a critical factor affecting broad economic and capital market activity. Although the level of financial constraints faced by a company plays an important role in its investment decision, there is an ongoing theoretical debate regarding the nature of this relationship, and the existing empirical evidence is mixed. Our finding on a sample of Italian manufacturing firms suggests that to apply the cluster analysis is a better approach compared to traditional criteria and measures, revealing new insights on financial constraint problems.

Abstract
Corporate investment is a critical factor affecting broad economic and capital market activity. Although the level of financial constraints faced by a company plays an important role in its investment decision, there is an ongoing theoretical debate regarding the nature of this relationship, and the existing empirical evidence is mixed. Our finding on a sample of Italian manufacturing firms suggests that to apply the cluster analysis is a better approach compared to traditional criteria and measures, revealing new insights on financial constraint problems.File in questo prodotto:
