The described results show that the SLMsystem gave an higher transport rate of theDiclofenac compared to the SSwLM but thislast showed higher stability. For both systemsthe simple method consisting in washing withwater the membranes already assembled inthe cell, before contacting them with feed andstrip phases, allowed to minimize the systemdestabilization. The overall results show that liquid membranescan be used to remove pharmaceuticalspresent in low concentration in wastewaters.Particularly, the SSwLM can have high potentialof application at industrial level, providedthe exposed problems are solved. On this aspecta research is going on in our laboratory.
