Advanced countries need simple, effective and affordable novel technical solutions for anti-counterfeiting, authentication, identification and traceability of goods for security, health, justice, logistics, and industry. Nanotechnologies, in particular soft materials and biomaterials, offer new possibilities of overt and covert layers for combating fraud and related corruption.
