Il presente articolo intende mostrare quanto la scuola ed il curricolo sia stato per John Dewey la spiegazione dell'esperienza e viceversa. E questo legame è fondamentale anche per comprendere la teoria democratica deweyana in cui il concetto di 'transazione' diviene la chiave di lettura della precarietà in cui vive il soggetto, il quale, infatti, vive in una continua tensione per raggiungere la perfettibilità.
