For several decades, the philological interpretation has represented a very solid line of research and has given many interesting results. In an educational context such as the review Musica Domani the activation of a reflection on these themes may lead to the achievement of multiple goals: the development of a consciousness regarding the mutation that is embodied in the concept of interpretation in historical perspective and the introduction of specific activities that have to do with improvisation and composition. Thanks to their conciseness and harmonic linearity, Vivaldi's slow-tempo concerts are particularly suitable for this second type of activity, even in a middle school class. Basing his discourse on the analysis of the Largo in a vivaldian concert, Egidio Pozzi (author of the monograph on Antonio Vivaldi for L'Epos editor in Palermo) gives a few guidelines to improvisation and to the realization of simple melody line diminutions. Abstract
