“Un nuovo criterio di valutazione del Rischio Sismico”

SUMMARY - In this work we present and discuss a new approach for Seismic Hazard. Evaluation which is based on the assessment of four parameters that characterize the geological behaviour of the sites and the vulnerability of the urban Systems. These parameters may be derived from: l)Evaluation of seismogenetic faults (tectonik hazard); 2)Estimates of the potential for the liquefaction of granular non-cohesive sediments; 3)The assessment of landslide risk; 4) The vulnerability of the built-up areas. The each parameter a value between 0 and 0.2 is assigned, so that the four parameters present a range of variability fron 0 to 0.8, which is analogous to that proposed by the National Department of the Protezione Civile (Order 6-12-1998).Between the two proposals, however, there exists a substantial difference:· a) Proposal of the Environmental Services It mediates among different seismic phenomena (The Umbria - Marche and the Calabrian earthquakes).
