In this paper an analysis of the buckling behaviour of anisotropic elastic plates is developed. The analysis is carried out by using a finite-element technique based on a shear-deformable plate model. Numerical results are also given relative to buckling of laminated plates under uniform axial compression, together with some comparisons with previous results available in the literature.
