The test makes to draw only a brief overview of the meaning and role of the three monotheistic religions in the history of the Mediterranean basin. In the 7th century breaks its cultural and political unity and the Arabs are established along the southern shores of the Mediterranean, creating a contrast with the northern shores of the Black Sea. In this essay, we highlight the common characteristics of the three monotheistic religions and the influence of Greek philosophy on their development.
