The Anthology contains seventyfive texts of contributors from all over the world to report on the fortunes of Shakespeare’s sonnets and their cultural presence in all the major and many of the minor languages of the world. There are introductions in English to all the languages and cultures in their dialogues with the sonnets, but at the core are the translations themselves, each in its original script. The chapter dedicated to Albanian language is about the presence of Shakespeare in Albania, both in literature and culture, starting from the first translations by Fan S. Noli in 1916 until to the latest one in 2006. The contribute contains the history of Sonnets translations in Albania, their translators, editions, translation analysis and an anthology with twelve translations into Albanian, of which two in two dialect varieties: the Gheg (Northern Albanian) and the Arberesh (Italo-Albanian of Southern Italy), plus a complete bibliography of up to date editions of Shakespeare Sonnets in Albanian, twelve original recordings of the translations and a collection of the Sonnet's book covers in Albanian editions in the attached CDROM.
