Volcano-tectonic earthquakes (VT), low frequency earthquakes (or long period, LP), explosion quakes and volcanic tremor are the most common endogenous sources (McNutt, 2005; Chouet, 2003). Landslides and rockfalls are frequently observed on steep volcanoes and caldera walls, due to slope failures.
