La Chiesa del Cinquecento nel complesso della Certosa di Serra San Bruno. Il processo diagnostico preliminare ad azioni di restauro conservativo della facciata monumentale

This work proposes a contribution on the use of computer vision for the development of diagnostic tests aimed at the restoration and enhancement, including through the virtual reconstruction stage, a fine building monumental case study was chosen as a building located in Calabria, the Church of the sixteenth century, part of a larger monument where the Carthusian monastery of Serra San Bruno. It is also proposed a representative example of applied technical analysis and image processing on a fragment of calcarenitic rock used for the realization of decorations, such as rosettes or portals; the analysis was conducted with the intention to simulate the effects of surface finishing to assess the propensity of limestoneto the degradation and therefore assume effective restoration actions.
