Le organizzazioni femminili conducono in Russia, fino alle rivoluzioni del 1917, un consistente lavoro di contrasto alla povertà economica e culturale delle donne. Il saggio prende in esame come osservatorio privilegiato, per valutare la qualità del dibattito e i dati che la ricerca sul campo fu rapidamente in grado di produrre, i congressi delle diverse unioni femminili con particolare riguardo all’attività della Società russa di mutua assistenza fra le donne e al primo congresso per la lotta contro il commercio di donne.
Until the 1917 revolutions, women’s organizations invest substantial effort to combat the economic and cultural poverty of women in Russia.
