Abstract
The Italian Catholicism is undergoing a slow but deep transformational crisis. The rigid framework of the pre-counciliar Church has been progressively replaced by a changeable puzzle that is constantly bubbling and is redesigning the internal and external relations of the Church itself. The great legitimising umbrella of the shared Catholicity – the plurality of pathways towards faith education, welcomed as an expression of a new «Church Spring» – is going with the unexpected effect of a pluralising of the contents of believing, in a context where the reasonableness of advanced modernity has broken loose in terms of plausibility that used to be offered by the Church’s religion. The organisations of the Catholic laity, in the process of succession from the charismatic leadership that gave them origin, have difficulties in interpreting the role that the Vatican II gave them. After the season of innovation from the bottom, with Pope Francis is outlined a season of the innovations from the top, in the attempt, with uncertain results, to build a model of movement-Church where tradition and innovation can coexist.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
