Abstract

A statistical experimental procedure for the experimental optimization of metrological characteristics of transducers is proposed. The values of the transducer parameters capable of reducing the output uncertainty, and, simultaneously, enhancing other metrological characteristics are determined. The procedure is based on experiment design planning and multivariate statistical analysis. Experimental results of a case study for the design of a magnetic differential transducer are reported.
