The contribution presents the results of a survey carried out by the Laboratory of Documentation at the University of Calabria in collaboration with the National Research Council’s Institute of Informatics and Telematics. The aim was to measure how much the Italian public administrations (PA) tried – or are trying to – digitize internal processes and services offered to citizens. The results published in this article show that the public administrations are lagging behind the current legislation. Particularly interesting informations emerg from the data, refered to digital preservation: the most of the PAs declare to prefer outsourcing the service to accredited digital curators.
