Abstract
The most forgiven. News from the manuscripts of Menzogna e sortilegio · Analyzing an unpublished material coming from the Morante archive, the Author has proposed to re-examine one of the main characters of Menzogna e sortilegio, Francesco De Salvi, in particular the judgment given by his daughter Elisa (and, through this last, by Elsa Morante). If in the final version of the novel the filial sentiment of repudiation dominates almost unchallenged, in the first drafts (then discarded) the judgment of Elisa-Elsa was ambivalent and the ambivalence eventually gave way to reconciliation and Christian forgiveness.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
