The aim of the paper is to show how foucauldian hypotheses on the order of discourse and on surveillance can still be effective for the analysis of our present, if amended to adapt better to the contemporary world. We will focus on a relevant subject of analysis concerning the form assumed by a particular type of discourse which is directly connected to the greatest economic and political power: the Big data collection and analysis structures.
