The essay aims to contribute to the problem of Derridean trace erasure applied to a specific type of trace: the digital one. We discuss whether the digital trace is really indelible, thus representing a significant exception to Derridean reflection on writing, or if such a property is only apparent. The essay retraces some of the fundamental concepts of Freudian discourse with particular attention to the genesis of mnestic traces from a Derridean perspective. It then reflects on the extensibility of such a model for the interpretation of our daily "traces" on the web that build a "memory", albeit partial, of us.

Abstract
The essay aims to contribute to the problem of Derridean trace erasure applied to a specific type of trace: the digital one. We discuss whether the digital trace is really indelible, thus representing a significant exception to Derridean reflection on writing, or if such a property is only apparent. The essay retraces some of the fundamental concepts of Freudian discourse with particular attention to the genesis of mnestic traces from a Derridean perspective. It then reflects on the extensibility of such a model for the interpretation of our daily "traces" on the web that build a "memory", albeit partial, of us.File in questo prodotto:
