The purpose of the following article is to offer an overview of the addiction problems of young and very young people who directly or indirectly are in contact with drugs every day or experience the typical discomforts of adolescence until they develop a real amotivational syndrome. Helping young people to overcome the problem of drug and alcohol addiction is a very important task, as well as disseminating useful information to prevent addiction to drugs. Drugs have always been part of the culture of man: until the mid-19th century it was reserved for the noble classes of some populations, in certain geographical areas and used on specific and special occasions (shamanic or religious rites); from the second half of the 19th century the strangest substances began to be spread both for healing purposes and for recreational purposes. Synthetic drugs developed thanks to war research which had the interest of creating effective and cheap molecules. But from 1960 onwards drug addiction has affected young people and drugs have become a habit among musical groups and have also been spread by the mass media to invade every aspect and sector of society, from adolescents and university students to the frequenter. of discos, from the housewife to the business executive, from the professional to the politician. In short, it has invaded anyone and in every place and social class! A 2005 United Nations report - on drugs in the world - says that about 4% of the world population uses marijuana and that the very young who use cocaine and alcohol are also increasing and that millions of young people are destroyed every year the direct or indirect effects of the drug. The most worrying aspect of the problem is the damage created to young people and the threat that the spread of drugs represents for the future of every nation. The number of young people who start to use drugs is increasing more and more: for this reason it is vital to provide useful information on the serious danger represented by the use / abuse of drugs. At the base of everything is deviance, unrecognized psychic suffering, sometimes mental illness, lack of self-awareness, the inability to live relationships with enthusiasm, the absence of a life plan, the inability to accept oneself for what one is. These disorders not understood and not treated lead young people to take refuge in "substances" which, gradually, end up altering their nature.

Lo scopo del seguente articolo è quello di offrire una panoramica sui problemi di dipendenza dei giovani e giovanissimi che direttamente o indirettamente sono ogni giorno a contatto con la droga o vivono i disagi tipici dell’adolescenza fino ad arrivare a sviluppare una vera e propria sindrome amotivazionale. Aiutare i giovani a superare il problema della dipendenza da droghe e alcool è un compito importantissimo, così come diffondere informazioni utili per prevenirne la dipendenza dalle sostanze stupefacenti. La droga ha sempre fatto parte della cultura dell’uomo: fino alla metà dell’800 era riservata ai ceti nobili di alcune popolazioni, in determinate aree geografiche e utilizzata in specifiche e speciali occasioni (riti sciamanici o religiosi); dalla seconda metà dell’800 le sostanze più strane hanno iniziato ad essere diffuse sia per scopi curativi, sia per scopi ludici. Le droghe sintetiche si sono sviluppate grazie alle ricerche belliche che avevano l'interesse di creare molecole efficaci ed economiche. Ma dal 1960 in poi la tossicodipendenza ha colpito i giovani e la droga è diventata un'abitudine tra i gruppi musicali ed è stata divulgata anche dai mass media fino ad invadere ogni aspetto e settore della società, dall’adolescente e dallo studente universitario al frequentatore di discoteche, dalla casalinga al dirigente d’azienda, dal professionista al politico. Insomma, ha invaso chiunque e in ogni luogo e ceto sociale! Un rapporto delle Nazioni Unite del 2005 - sulle droghe nel mondo - dice che circa il 4% della popolazione mondiale fa uso di marijuana e che sono in aumento anche i giovanissimi che fanno uso di cocaina e alcol e che ogni anno milioni di giovani sono distrutti dagli effetti diretti o indiretti della droga. L’aspetto più preoccupante del problema è il danno creato ai giovani e la minaccia che la diffusione della droga rappresenta per il futuro di ogni nazione. Il numero dei giovani che iniziano a far uso di droga aumenta sempre più: per questo motivo è di vitale importanza dare informazioni utili sul grave pericolo rappresentato dall'uso/abuso di sostanze stupefacenti. Alla base di tutto c’è la devianza, la sofferenza psichica non riconosciuta, a volte la malattia mentale, la mancanza di consapevolezza di sé, l'incapacità di vivere le relazioni con entusiasmo, l'assenza di un progetto di vita, l'incapacità di accettarsi per quello che si è. Questi disturbi non compresi e non curati conducono i giovani a rifugiarsi nelle "sostanze" che, a mano a mano, finiscono per alterare la loro natura.
