This paper describes the recent teaching experiences on mechanism and machine theory (MMT) at two universities in Italy. Namely, it is based on the teaching experiences of the authors at their home universities. The key addressed aspect is the needs of implementing novel teaching approaches to stimulate the learning process of fundamental concepts of MMT. In particular, authors discuss successful examples of “learning-by-doing” strategies to bachelor and master students.

Namely, it is based on the teaching experiences of the authors at their home universities. The key addressed aspect is the needs of implementing novel teaching approaches to stimulate the learning process of fundamental concepts of MMT.
