Romano Guardini's encounter with Max Scheler's personalism and phenomenology represent fundamental moments for reading, pedagogically, some moments of Romano Guardini's extensive philosophical production. Our analysis of the anthropological reasons and of the educational tensions that invest Guardini's thought will be analyzed starting from three fundamental writings, World and person from 1940, Accepting oneself from 1960 and the collection of essays Anxiety for man written from 1962 to 1966. Guardini's anxiety is to be understood, primarily, as a concern to educate the man of his time, exposed to nihilism and the risks of materialism, to the recognition of oneself and the other as persons, Aristotelianically as a union of matter and form. There are two paths that lead the person to ascend towards paths of meaning and significance: reality, or starting from things as they are in concreteness and self-acceptance. The purpose of the educational paths can be fulfilled to the extent that only the knowledge of God provides the person with the tools to understand, authentically, human nature; taking up the title of a 1952 speech by Guardini Only those who know God know man.

Abstract
The purpose of the educational paths can be fulfilled to the extent that only the knowledge of God provides the person with the tools to understand, authentically, human nature; taking up the title of a 1952 speech by Guardini Only those who know God know man.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
