Through the analysis of two significant lyrics from Como quien espera el alba (1941-1944), among the most exemplary books of Cernudiano's exile, this work, on the one hand, aims to investigate the representations of the places of subjective memory , highlighting its divergence with respect to the descriptive constants of the modern era - as they have been defined by Francesco Orlando in his Gli oggetti desueti (1993) -; On the other hand, it tries to highlight a possible new function of the spatial aspect in the field of the transformations that memory paradigms undergo due to the turning point marked by the Civil War.

Abstract
