Although the autoionization satellite of Cu is hidden under the M ,3W-Auger, autoionization extended fine structures are clear and intense. Their interpretation does not involve only the absorption from 3p levels and subsequent autoionization process but also an analogous mechanism involving 3s core levels. The 3p and 3s contributions to the electron emission spectrum of Cu appear to interfere. The experimental results are compared with the extended energy loss fine structures and similarities and differences are discussed and interpreted. Structural information in electron autoinization emission of Cu is related to 3p and 3s-absorptions.

Abstract
Although the autoionization satellite of Cu is hidden under the M ,3W-Auger, autoionization extended fine structures are clear and intense. Their interpretation does not involve only the absorption from 3p levels and subsequent autoionization process but also an analogous mechanism involving 3s core levels. The 3p and 3s contributions to the electron emission spectrum of Cu appear to interfere. The experimental results are compared with the extended energy loss fine structures and similarities and differences are discussed and interpreted. Structural information in electron autoinization emission of Cu is related to 3p and 3s-absorptions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
