This paper focuses on the integration of resources in Italian in a multilingual terminological knowledge base (TKB). The specific use case is EcoLexicon, a TKB on the environment that targets different user groups, from the general user who wishes to expand his/her knowledge of the environment to the specialist user, such as a translator or professional who needs the information for the purpose of translating/writing texts in the environment domain. The paper describes the theoretical premises applied in EcoLexicon and focuses on outlining the methodology adopted for the compilation of a specialized corpus in Italian, knowledge extraction from said corpus, and the subsequent knowledge representation. Such knowledge will then be contextualized in the several dynamic and interrelated information modules present in the TKB. Particular focus will be placed on degrees of equivalence between Italian and the other languages present in EcoLexicon since correspondence should be established both between concepts and between terms.

Abstract
Particular focus will be placed on degrees of equivalence between Italian and the other languages present in EcoLexicon since correspondence should be established both between concepts and between terms.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
