Since the 1980s, Barcelona has been considered an urban model to look up to, due to the inter-est of the operations put in place from the first “acupuncture” interventions up to the major projects of the 1990s and 2000s. Starting from an experience of almost twenty years made by the authors in the framework of an annual week-long seminar held in Barcelona alongside many of the architects protagonists of these transfor-mations, this essay proposes a reflection on their outcomes intending to draw out some consid-erations that deserve to be transferred to the debate on the future developments of the 21st century city.

Abstract
Since the 1980s, Barcelona has been considered an urban model to look up to, due to the inter-est of the operations put in place from the first “acupuncture” interventions up to the major projects of the 1990s and 2000s. Starting from an experience of almost twenty years made by the authors in the framework of an annual week-long seminar held in Barcelona alongside many of the architects protagonists of these transfor-mations, this essay proposes a reflection on their outcomes intending to draw out some consid-erations that deserve to be transferred to the debate on the future developments of the 21st century city.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
