This article seeks to show not only the crisis of hospitality in our contemporary societies, but, above all, to present the example of a village in Southern Italy, which has welcomed refugees and established what they have called «integrated hospitality». In this article I show how, in a globalized world where migrants have become pariahs, thanks to the determination of one man, Mimmo Lucano, mayor of Riace, this crazy project could realize. At a time when European countries, particularly France and Italy, were introducing the «crime of solidarity», a few women and men of good will would continue to fight for the recognition of the right to migrate and to host.

Abstract
This article seeks to show not only the crisis of hospitality in our contemporary societies, but, above all, to present the example of a village in Southern Italy, which has welcomed refugees and established what they have called «integrated hospitality». In this article I show how, in a globalized world where migrants have become pariahs, thanks to the determination of one man, Mimmo Lucano, mayor of Riace, this crazy project could realize. At a time when European countries, particularly France and Italy, were introducing the «crime of solidarity», a few women and men of good will would continue to fight for the recognition of the right to migrate and to host.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
