Packaging Materials: Past, Present and Future

Great challenges loom in the future of both new and traditional packaging materials. In addition to the challenges intrinsically linked to the compositions of materials, there are those posed by the ongoing energy and digital transition and the inevitable growth of e-commerce. There is still a long way to go, and it will be necessary to make a lot of effort and overcome many obstacles, but it seems that there are all the prerequisites for obtaining an efficient and sustainable packaging system for humanity in the not too distant future.
