L’ideologia come relazione tra conoscenza, prassi e linguaggio: un confronto tra Prieto e Rossi–Landi

This paper offers some elements for a comparative analysis of the notion of ideology in Luís J. Prieto and Ferruccio Rossi–Landi, focusing on two texts (Prieto’s Pertinence et pratique, and Rossi–Landi’s Ideologia) in which a notion of ideology is defined by considering the relationship between language and knowledge. After outlining a framework for com- parison between the two authors, we will approach their ideas on language (quite similar, despite the different sources) and knowledge (in particular, in its relation to praxis). This will help us present two notions of ideology, and some reflections on the possibility (and nature) of non–ideological knowledge. The conclusions will focus on the relevance of the concept of ideology, particularly for the sciences of language.
