DALL’ESTETICA FENOMENOLOGICA ALLA COSTITUZIONE DEL MONDO ORTEGA Y GASSET (1910-1923)

In this paper, I indicate some passages that concern Ortega’s doctrine of point of view. In the framework of the «phenomenological writings», I note the changes undergone by point of view, act of thought and abstraction. I then continue with a reflection on the reasons that led to the disappearance of virtual in El tema de nuestro tiempo; and finally I support the thesis that in the genesis of raciovitalismo, the primacy of Aesthetics is attenuated in order to a more comprehensive idea of reality. In this vein, ratio-vitalism appears as a side-effect of the metaphysics of life based on a new concept of ejecutividad implying a phenomenological notion of constitution. At the end, I try to show the future of some key concepts in Ortega’s later works.
