Oltre il Web. La pedagogia di genere per contrastare l’hate speech online contro le donne

Hate speech, a particularly widespread phenomenon especially against women, has deep cultural roots related to gender and social norms that promote the idea of male superiority. This violent and sexist language, by normalizing gender discrimination, represents a crucial challenge for the world of education, which must find effective strategies to counter its spread and promote a culture of respect and inclusion. The hypothesis of these reflections is that an education based on gender pedagogy, developed in offline contexts, can effectively prepare new generations to interact online in a respectful and inclusive manner. There is a need for an educational approach that goes "beyond the web" and reflects on the importance of empathy that helps young people understand and value the experiences of others, especially those of individuals who are victims of discrimination.
