We compute the disorder averaged dc conductance in the non-equilibrium steady state that sets in between a longer-range Kitaev chain and a lead connected to an external reservoir, as a function of the system parameters and of the disorder strength. From our results, we map out the phase diagram of the disordered chain for different types of disorder and discuss the corresponding effects of the interplay between topology and disorder in the system. To do so, we set up a combined analytical and numerical approach, which is potentially amenable of straightforward generalizations to other disordered topological systems.
