This paper presents the design and characterisation of a package-integrated duplexer for K/Ka-band Satcom-on-the-move user terminals. The proposed duplexer features a highly compact design, integrated within a package stackup, and utilises two bandpass filters—one dedicated to the TX and the other to the RX bandwidths. This configuration ensures broad and effective out-of-band suppression while maintaining a low reflection coefficient, ensuring efficient signal integrity comparable to state-of-the-art solutions. Both simulation and measurement results confirm that the duplexer achieves isolation and insertion loss performance comparable to state-of-the-art solutions reported in recent literature. Moreover, its compact form factor provides a key advantage for size-constrained applications, making it particularly well-suited for integration with RF chips and antenna elements, thereby enabling the development of advanced Antenna front-end (AFE) systems.
