Abstract
Exophonic writing, the phenomenon of writing literature in a second language.is increasing across Europe due to labour migration. Since translation is conventionally considered as an interlingual transfer of linguistic signs and codes of a source-language text into a target-language text, exophonic writing of literary texts by intercultural authors is a new challenge for translators. This paper argues that a new paradigm in translation is necessary to account for exophonic writings. Translatability is re-discussed through the case of Franco Biondi, one of Germany’s exophonic writers.File in questo prodotto:
