Abstract- This study aims to investigate on the behaviour of consumers in the use of e-shopping. The increased use of e-shopping has caused relevant changes also in travel behaviour. Therefore, it is fundamental understanding consumers’ propensity to use online shopping as an alternative of the in-store shopping mode. In this paper, binomial logit models are proposed for simulating consumers’ choices between online and in-store shopping. We found that this kind of choice is affected by individual characteristics such as age, income, education, experience in technology, together with characteristics of the products and the Internet connection.
