In line with the goals of Europe 2020 strategy, energy resource saving represent a key issuefor smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Recent developments in ICTs offer home devices featuring local intelligence and connectivity services. So, basing on such technologies, a house becomes Collaborative Smart Environment (CSE), a place where multimedia services are provided to users, while heterogeneous smart appliances are interconnected and interact allowing to save energy, to reduce costs and, at the same time, to improve comfort and safety. In this paper we propose an interoperable architectural framework and a knowledge-basedmanagement model for monitoring and managing energy consumption in CSEs.

Abstract
In line with the goals of Europe 2020 strategy, energy resource saving represent a key issuefor smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Recent developments in ICTs offer home devices featuring local intelligence and connectivity services. So, basing on such technologies, a house becomes Collaborative Smart Environment (CSE), a place where multimedia services are provided to users, while heterogeneous smart appliances are interconnected and interact allowing to save energy, to reduce costs and, at the same time, to improve comfort and safety. In this paper we propose an interoperable architectural framework and a knowledge-basedmanagement model for monitoring and managing energy consumption in CSEs.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
