The paper provides for the first time a complete catalogue of the evidence for preSocratic philosophers handed down by the Herculaneum papyri. The Index Praesocraticorum Philosophorum Herculanensis (IPPH) aims to lay the foundations for a systematic analysis of the Traditio Praesocratica within Epicureanism. The list of the testimonia is updated to the current state of the research and to the most recent critical reconstructions of each papyrus entailed in such an inquiry.
