Nowadays, Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) wires are commonly used in industrial, medical, research fields. Recently they are used also for sensing, an accurate model for their behaviour in different operative condition is missing. To fulfill this lack, this work proposes an automatic measurement system for SMA wires characterization. In particular, the variation of the wire resistivity is evaluated during heating and cooling cycles achieved by the Joule effect. This achievement positively impacts on the sustainable development goal (SDG) 9.

Abstract
