The paper presents an analysis of Twitter posts written by members of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party in order to elucidate prevalent thematic areas and identify groups that are particularly vulnerable to hate speech. Using a qualitative linguistic approach, the study focuses on recurring nominal compounds as key indicators of the manifestation of intolerance within the language used by AfD representatives. By examining the linguistic strategies of denomination and predication and considering the semantic and pragmatic dimensions of nominal compounds, the paper aims to show how intolerance is conveyed and perpetuated through language in German political discourse on social media.

Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of Twitter posts written by members of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party in order to elucidate prevalent thematic areas and identify groups that are particularly vulnerable to hate speech. Using a qualitative linguistic approach, the study focuses on recurring nominal compounds as key indicators of the manifestation of intolerance within the language used by AfD representatives. By examining the linguistic strategies of denomination and predication and considering the semantic and pragmatic dimensions of nominal compounds, the paper aims to show how intolerance is conveyed and perpetuated through language in German political discourse on social media.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
