The aim of this contribution is to describe the design of a digital serious game (SG) to prevent cyberbullying behaviors among preadolescents and to foster prosocial attitudes. The Web InBasket platform will be used to generate the scenario of the SG as well as the game-based rules of the game. To make the SG playful, focus groups were designed and conducted with Italian preadolescents from Calabrian first grade secondary schools. The preliminary results provide a foundation for describing approaches and methods of design and use of an SG for educational and prevention purposes.

Abstract
The aim of this contribution is to describe the design of a digital serious game (SG) to prevent cyberbullying behaviors among preadolescents and to foster prosocial attitudes. The Web InBasket platform will be used to generate the scenario of the SG as well as the game-based rules of the game. To make the SG playful, focus groups were designed and conducted with Italian preadolescents from Calabrian first grade secondary schools. The preliminary results provide a foundation for describing approaches and methods of design and use of an SG for educational and prevention purposes.File in questo prodotto:
